Canadian rock band Nickelback perform live on their Everything Under The Sun Tour, with support from Don Broco.
Nickelback play Ball Arena on Saturday, April 24, 2027, as part of their Everything Under the Sun tour. They're bringing along Don Broco to open the night, so there's a full bill before the main set.
If you've only known them as the big radio act, there's a fair bit of history behind the name. They started in Hanna, Alberta, and got an early boost from 99.3 The Fox, a Vancouver station that ran an annual competition for local bands—one they won in 1999. Chad Kroeger founded the group as a tribute act, and the lineup grew to include his brother Mike Kroeger on bass, his cousin Ryan Vikedal on drums, and Ryan Peake on guitar, while Chad began writing his own material. The name itself comes from the Starbucks where Mike worked and had to hand a nickel back as change.
Their run of records since then has been a steady climb. In 2007, the singles "Leader of Men" and "Breathe," from their fourth album The State, were well received. The three records that followed—Silver Side Up, The Long Road, and All The Right Reasons—all hit number one on the Canadian charts, with All The Right Reasons also reaching number one in the United States. After "How You Remind Me," the band climbed to number two in Germany, which served as their international breakthrough. Daniel Adair took over on drums in 2005.
