Rock band Movements perform live at the Mission Ballroom in Denver, with support from Balance & Composure, Midrift and Niis.
Movements play the Mission Ballroom on Wednesday, October 14, with Balance & Composure, Midrift and Niis opening. It's a full bill, and the headliners are coming in with a new record to work from.
Movements are from Rancho Santa Margarita, California, and the lineup is Patrick Miranda on vocals, Ira George on guitar, Austin Cressey on bass and Spencer York on drums. They've just put out their fourth full-length album, Happier Now, on Fearless Records. It was produced by Will Yip, who's also worked with Turnstile, Title Fight and Circa Survive, and the record blends the early elements of their sound with the newer material from 2023's RUCKUS!. Two singles, "Dissolve Me" and "Back In My Ways," came out ahead of it. That same summer the band returned to the Warped Tour.
With Happier Now as the latest addition, the set should pull from both ends of their catalog—the early stuff and the newer material from RUCKUS!—rather than sticking to one era. Balance & Composure, Midrift and Niis fill out the rest of the night, so there's plenty on the bill before Movements take the stage.
