A Vinyasa flow yoga class led by instructor Rya Merschat at the Denver Botanic Gardens, open to all skill levels.
Rya Merschat is leading a series of lunchtime Vinyasa Flow yoga classes at the Denver Botanic Gardens, starting Tuesday, October 13. The sessions run from 12 PM to 1 PM on Tuesdays through December 15, with dates on October 13, 20, and 27; November 3, 10, 17, and 24; and December 1, 8, and 15. It's a mid-day break that fits right into a lunch hour, so you can get your practice in and still be back at your desk by the afternoon.
If you're new to Vinyasa, it's a style that weaves postures together with the breath to create a moving meditation. The class is open to all skill levels, and Merschat offers modifications and variations throughout, so you can adjust the poses to where you're at. Whether you've been practicing for years or this is your first time on a mat, you'll find a way to make the sequence work for you.
Merschat brings a lot of experience to the room. She's an E-RYT 200, RYT 500, and YACEP—a registered yoga teacher and Yoga Alliance continuing education provider who has been teaching and practicing in Denver since 1994. She draws on her background as a professional dancer to deliver an alignment-based, nurturing, and mindful practice, and that dance background comes through in the way she approaches the flow.

Advanced registration is required, so you'll want to sign up ahead of time rather than just showing up. You'll need to bring your own mat, a towel, and water. The classes are $14 for the general public and $12 for members, and they're held at the Gardens' York Street location in Denver.
