Lords of Acid perform live with Princess Superstar and Tony and The Kiki at the Oriental Theater as part of their Cheeky Freaky Tour Part 2.
Lords of Acid are playing The Oriental Theater on Thursday, October 22, as part of their Cheeky Freaky Tour Part 2 - 2026. It's their first North American tour in six years, and the Denver date is one of the stops on this run. They're bringing along Princess Superstar, Tony & The Kiki, and Mz Neon to round out the bill.
If you're not familiar with them, Lords of Acid is a Belgian dance-industrial hybrid fronted by Praga Khan, who started the band in the late 1980s. They built their name on a mix of electronic and industrial sounds, and that's still the core of what they do. The tour has a specific focus this time around: they're planning to perform Voodoo-U in its entirety, so that record will take center stage.
That album is part of a larger catalog that's seen some attention recently. Metropolis Records reissued their 1991 album Lust, and Khan later oversaw the 2017 re-release of out-of-print classics including LUST, Voodoo-U, Our Little Secret, and Farstucker. If you've been digging through those re-releases, this is a chance to hear Voodoo-U played through from start to finish rather than in pieces.
