An exhibition by Access Gallery artists, people with disabilities, featuring pieces created after they researched the history of the historic Molly Brown House.
Let Them See What We Can Do opens at the Molly Brown House Museum on the first floor, with an opening reception on June 26, 2026. The exhibition comes from Access Gallery, an organization of artists with disabilities. The process behind it was a hands-on one: the artists visited the house, researched its history, and then created the pieces on display.
The title comes from a specific moment in Molly Brown's life. In 1914, when asked if a woman could hold her own in the Senate, she answered, "Let them see what we can do!" Brown was a mining magnate's wife turned activist, and suffrage leaders had pushed her to run for the U.S. Senate in 1894โlong before women could vote. Colorado men had approved women's suffrage in 1893, making the state one of the first places where women could cast a ballot. Brown joined the national movement and helped build the momentum that led to the 19th Amendment in 1920.
