A comedy music performance by the New York City band Leonid & Friends at the historic Paramount Theatre in Denver.
Leonid & Friends are playing the Paramount Theatre on Sunday, October 25, at 6 PM. They're a New York City band led by Leonid Vorobyev, who does a lot of the heavy lifting behind the scenes: he's the founder and musical director, producer, transcriber, arranger, mixer, mastering engineer, and video producer and editor. The group plays in a comedy style, and they'll be performing at the Paramount, which is one of Denver's historic theaters.
On stage, Vorobyev is joined by Oleg Kudryavtsev on tenor sax and flute, Roman Vorobyev as manager and emcee, and Bobby Alcott on lead and backup vocals. With a sax and flute in the mix alongside the vocals, there's a full band sound to it, and having an emcee on hand suggests the comedy side of the act is as much a part of the evening as the music. It's a New York group coming to Denver, so it's a bit of a trip across the country for them to be here.
