Laurie Dameron on guitar and Jeff Fournier on bass performing jazz, rock and blues at Denver's Dazzle.
Laurie Dameron and Jeff Fournier play Dazzle on Monday, October 12, as part of the venue's nightly live jazz series. Dameron is on guitar and Fournier is on bass, and the set pulls from jazz, rock and blues, with a mix of originals and covers.
Dameron is a Colorado-based guitarist who's been playing for over 50 years and has put out three albums. Her echoey acoustic sound has drawn comparisons to Pat Metheny, and she released the CD I Can't Wait to See You Again, a journey through the Great American Songbook. Fournier is a prolific bassist who's worked on cruise ships alongside artists like Petula Clark, Vic Damone, Al Martino, Miami Sound Machine and Charo. He's also played in several Colorado bands, including Soul Sacrifice, the state's Santana cover band, and Denver's dance band Thumpin'.
