Krooked Kings

Krooked Kings play Meow Wolf Denver on Thursday, November 19, as part of their In Another Life tour. The Salt Lake City act plays across alternative, indie pop, and indie rock, and this is their only Denver date on the run.

There's a specific story behind how the band came together. Frontman Oli Martin started out learning folk covers on his guitar for comfort while he was in the process of leaving the Mormon faith, and eventually he found his own sound from there. That folk starting point still sits under the indie rock they're playing now, and the band's sound pulls from alternative and indie pop as much as it does from the guitar-driven side of things.

The show is at The Perplexiplex, Meow Wolf's venue that works as much as an immersive art experience as it does a performance space, built in collaboration with interactive technology. It's inside Convergence Station at 1338 1st St, so you'll be in the middle of the larger Meow Wolf installation rather than a standalone club. The set starts at 8 PM.
