Heavy psych rock band King Buffalo performs live at the Bluebird Theater, with L.A. Witch as the opening act.
King Buffalo play the Bluebird Theater on Friday, October 30, with L.A. Witch opening. The show starts at 8 PM, and it's 16+.
King Buffalo is a psych rock trio made up of vocalist and guitarist Sean McVay, bassist Dan Reynolds, and drummer Scott Donaldson. They've been playing since 2013 and call their sound "heavy psych," which fits the bill: four full-length albums and four EPs since they started. Over the years they've toured with Clutch, Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats, All Them Witches, The Sword, and Elder.
Their most recent full-length, Regenerator, came out on September 2, 2022. It was the third part of what the band called their "pandemic trilogy," following The Burden of Restlessness (2021) and Acheron. If you've been keeping up with them, that's the record they'll be drawing from, though they've got a deep enough catalog to pull from the earlier stuff too.

Opening for them is L.A. Witch, whose sound leans toward noir guitars, steady driving rhythms, and a shadowy vocal edge that blends surf, punk, and desert haze. It's a good fit for a night that starts with psych rock and moves into the heavier side of things.
The Bluebird Theater is one of Denver's go-to rooms, with an intimate layout and a classic marquee vibe right in the city's music corridor. The show is 16+, so you'll need to be at least that old to get in. Doors are at 8 PM on Friday, October 30.
