The world's premier nephrology meeting bringing together kidney professionals for scientific and medical advances.
Kidney Week 2026 takes over the Colorado Convention Center from October 21 to 25, bringing together more than 12,000 kidney professionals from around the world. It's billed as the premier nephrology meeting, a place for people in the field to exchange knowledge, catch up on the latest scientific and medical advances, and get into some provocative discussions with leading experts. The whole thing is run by the ASN Alliance for Kidney Health, a 501(c)(3) non-profit that describes its vision as "a world without kidney diseases."
If you're not familiar with the Alliance, they push kidney medicine forward through a few specific initiatives: KidneyCure, the Kidney Health Initiative, and KidneyX. Beyond the research side, they advocate for policies that improve access to care, with a particular focus on home dialysis and transplant. That's the organization behind the meeting, and it's their vision that sets the tone for the week.
As for how it's laid out, the dates are split into two parts. The Early Programs run on October 21, and the Annual Meeting follows from October 22 to 25. So, depending on what you're after, you might be looking at a single day or the full five. It's an in-person event only this year—no virtual or hybrid format—so if you want to be part of it, you'll need to be here in Denver. If you can't make it, the educational content will be recorded and posted on-demand in the ASN Learning Center in mid to late November.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Denver and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.
