Jazz session featuring saxophonist Kenny Garrett and Sounds From The Ancestors at Dazzle Denver.
Kenny Garrett is playing Dazzle Denver on Thursday, November 5, 2026. He's performing with his group, Sounds From The Ancestors, so it's a full ensemble on the bill rather than a solo date. The set starts at 9 PM.
If you're not familiar with the name, Garrett is an alto saxophonist who's spent decades working at the intersection of post-bop and more open, spiritual jazz. He's one of those players who can hold a room with a single, long line of melody, and he's spent a good part of his career leading his own groups and recording on his own terms. Sounds From The Ancestors is the band he's touring with, and the name itself points toward the roots and traditions he draws from—the lineage of jazz that stretches back through the greats of the alto sax.
It's a Thursday night show, which puts it right in the middle of the work week, and it's held at Dazzle Denver, which is the Dazzle Restaurant and Lounge. Since it's a jazz club, you can get a table and a drink and settle in for the set. The music is the main feature here, and with Garrett as the leader, the saxophone will be front and center throughout the night. If you've been following his work, this is a chance to hear him live in the city.
