Jazz concert featuring the award-winning pianist and vocalist Kelly Green with Evan Hyde on drums and Luca Soul Rosenfeld on upright bass.
Kelly Green brings her trio to Dazzle on Thursday, October 22, with Evan Hyde on drums and Luca Soul Rosenfeld on upright bass. Green handles both piano and vocals, and the set moves between her own originals and reimagined works by Mulgrew Miller, Duke Ellington, and Blossom Dearie. The range goes from lyric-driven ballads to high-energy swing and instrumental compositions, played with the precision of a pianist and the warmth of a vocalist.
Green is a Steinway Artist, pianist, vocalist, composer, and bandleader. Originally from Orlando, Florida, she moved to New York in 2015 and has built a reputation for weaving emotionally potent, genre-defying originals with those reimagined standards. Christian McBride describes her as one of the most talented and spirited people he knows, and critics have called her one of the most gifted vocalists working today.
She's performed and recorded with Wyclieg Gordon, Rich Perry, Steve Wilson, Scott Robinson, George Coleman, and Billy Hart, and has sold out venues like Birdland, Dizzy's, Ronnie Scott's, and the Century Room. Her fifth album, Corner of My Dreams, won two Global Music Awards and earned her a 2025 Jazz Roads Touring Grant.
