Weekly running club meetup led by Mercuria Running coach Jenni Nettik, covering four miles through the Highlands and LoDo, with a post-run meal at Highland Tap & Burger.
HTB Run Club is back at Highland Tap & Burger on Wednesday, October 14, for another weekly meetup led by Mercuria Running. It's a Denver institution that's been running year-round, every Wednesday at 6:30 PM, so if you've missed the last few, this is an easy way to jump back in.
The run itself covers roughly four miles through the Highlands and LoDo, with 5K and 10K options depending on how you're feeling that night. There's no registration required—you just show up. The whole thing finishes back at Highland Tap & Burger, where the post-run meal comes straight from the restaurant's kitchen. It's a low-pressure way to get some miles in during the week and hang out afterward.
Mercuria Running is led by coach Jenni Nettik, who founded the group in 2013. She's been running since first grade and has over 15 years of coaching behind her, with 40 years of running in total. Her own racing record is deep: she won Top Race Performance at the 2012 Napa Valley Trail Half Marathon, clocked a 3:12:11 marathon PR at the 2016 Chicago Marathon, and a 3:17:16 Boston PR in 2015. She's completed the Boston, Chicago, NYC, and Berlin World Majors, and has worked as a pacer and a trail guide in Chamonix, the Picos de Europa, Golden, and Telluride. That's a lot of road and trail experience leading a casual weekly run.

Logistically, it's as simple as it gets. The run is free, and there are dinner and drink specials afterward at the restaurant. The club's unofficial motto is "It's not a hill, it's a ramp to get beer!"—a nod to the reward waiting at the finish line. The run starts at 6:30 PM at Highland Tap & Burger, 2219 W 32nd Ave, in the LoHi neighborhood.
