Hokus Pokus Live!

Hokus Pokus Live! hits the Fillmore Auditorium on Thursday, October 15, at 7 PM. It's a live singing, high-camp theatrical parody of a Halloween cult classic, brought to life by drag performers. If you've spent any October in Denver, you know the drill: the city leans hard into the spooky season, and this is one of those shows that fits right into the middle of it.

Since it's a parody, the whole thing is built on a movie you probably already know. The drag performers take the story and run it through their own filter, turning the original into something loud, campy, and meant to be sung along with. It's less of a straight play and more of a theatrical revue—the kind of show where the audience is as much a part of the energy as what's happening on stage. The singing is live, so you're getting voices in the room, not a backing track.

It's a Halloween-themed show, and the date puts it right in the thick of the season, so it works as a standalone night out or as part of your larger October plans. If you're into drag, camp, and the kind of movie that everyone recognizes, this is exactly that. It's a theatrical take on a cult favorite, played for laughs and performed live.

Hokus Pokus Live! is at the Fillmore Auditorium in Denver on Thursday, October 15, starting at 7 PM.
