Heavy Diamond Ring EP release show with Stelth Ulvang and Buudrow at Hi-Dive.
Heavy Diamond Ring are playing Hi-Dive on Saturday, October 17, for the release of their new EP, Let Love Be Enough. They're sharing the bill with Stelth Ulvang and Buudrow.
Let Love Be Enough is a five-song EP released through Gitcha Records. The band recorded it at The Library in Minneapolis with producer and mixer Dan Rodriguez, and it features Gregory Alan Isakov on a duet and fiddle from Jake Armerding. The lead single, "What If I Change," comes with a video filmed against the landscape outside Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Heavy Diamond Ring is a Denver-based Americana project led by Sarah Anderson and Paul DeHaven, who have been writing songs together since 2004, after their indie-folk band Paper Bird disbanded. Anderson's vocals and DeHaven's guitar drive a sound they describe as "open-road, long drive music," and a live show they call "infectious and contagious." The full band includes Blake Stepan on bass, Mike Lang on keys, and Orion Tate Ignelzi on drums.

This release comes just ahead of their second full-length LP, All Out of Angels, which comes out this fall on Cowboy Cowabunga Recordings. That record was produced by Ben Wysocki of The Fray and Mark Anderson, and it includes a duet with Nathaniel Rateliff. Between the EP and the full-length, there's a good amount of new material to hear in one night.
Doors open at 7 PM and the show starts at 8 PM. Tickets are $15.
