The premier US beer competition moves outdoors to Levitt Pavilion, showcasing hundreds of breweries and thousands of craft beers.
The Great American Beer Festival is moving outdoors this year, taking over Levitt Pavilion on Saturday, October 10 and Sunday, October 11. It's a historic first for the event, which has spent years inside the Colorado Convention Center and is now shifting to the open air.
If you've never been, the festival is the premier beer competition in the U.S., crowning the best in more than 100 beer and cider styles. It's often called the nation's favorite beer festival and a cultural phenomenon, and that reputation comes from the sheer scale of it: hundreds of breweries and thousands of craft beers gathered in one place. The move to Levitt Pavilion changes the setting, but the core stays the same. You'll still find a nationwide showcase of award-winning craft beverages, just with fresh air, more room to roam, and the social spirit of an outdoor festival. Beyond the beer, you can explore the city's craft beer scene and try Red Ball Tennis with the United States Tennis Association.
