Gorillaz perform live on their The Mountain Tour at Ball Arena in Denver.
Gorillaz are playing Ball Arena on Sunday, October 18, as part of The Mountain Tour. It's their only Denver date on this run, and the show is billed as The Mountain Tour live, so the set will be built around the new material they're taking on the road.
If you've followed them for a while, you know how they work. The project is a virtual band—animated characters fronting a real-world operation—and the live show is where that comes together. The music pulls from a lot of ground: hip-hop, electronic, pop, and a fair amount of guest collaborators. On The Mountain Tour, they're bringing that mix to the stage, with the newer songs taking center stage alongside the older tracks that have defined the project over the years.
Because they've been around so long, the set usually reaches back through several different eras. You'll hear the newer stuff from The Mountain Tour alongside songs from their earlier records, so the night covers a good stretch of their catalog. It's a big production, and Ball Arena is one of the larger rooms they'll play on this tour.

Doors open at 6 PM, and the show starts at 7 PM. If you're planning to be there, keep in mind it's a Sunday night, so you'll want to leave some room for the commute home after.
