Goopsteppa

Goopsteppa plays Cervantes' Masterpiece Ballroom on Friday, October 23, with Alex Unger and Humandala on the bill. It's a bass music night, and Goopsteppa is the main draw.

If you're not already familiar with the sound, Goopsteppa works in bass music, downtempo, and deep dubstep. That covers a fair bit of ground: the heavy low-end of bass music, the slower, more atmospheric side of downtempo, and the stripped-back, spacey weight of deep dubstep. It's the kind of music that lives in the sub-frequencies, so it's the sort of thing you want to hear on a proper system rather than through a laptop speaker.

Alex Unger and Humandala round out the lineup, and together they'll keep the bass going throughout the night.
