Concert by singer-songwriter Eric D. Johnson and his project Fruit Bats, supporting the album 'The Landfill'.
Fruit Bats play The Mission Ballroom on Saturday, October 17, as part of the tour for The Landfill, the new album released on Merge. Fruit Bats is the project of singer-songwriter Eric D. Johnson, and this Denver date is one stop on the run supporting the record.
Johnson has been playing solo acoustic material from The Landfill alongside the full-band arrangements, and that includes a "Sonoma Session" version of "Fishin' For A Vision." If you've only heard the studio versions, hearing those songs stripped back to just a voice and a guitar is a different way into them.
