Denver Public Library readers' advisors share 30 new book titles; free books to take home.
Denver Public Library is bringing its readers' advisors to Fiction Beer Company on Wednesday, October 14, for a night called Fall Book Buzz. It's a simple enough premise: the people whose job it is to know what's worth reading are stepping out of the library and into a taproom to talk books over a few drinks.
They're coming prepared with 30 new titles to share, and the list isn't stuck in one corner of the bookstore. It covers multiple genres, so if you're into thrillers, literary fiction, non-fiction, or something in between, there's going to be something on the table for you. The advisors will be sharing the kind of inside information you usually only get if you spend a lot of time talking to them at the reference deskβthe kind of specific, first-hand takes that help you decide if a book is actually your speed before you commit to it.
And here's the part that makes it worth the trip: you can pick out a free book to take home. It's not a raffle or a giveaway for one lucky person; they're handing them out to attendees, while supplies last. So you can hear the pitch, see the titles, and walk away with a new read in your bag.
Every week we pick π the 5 best π things to do in Denver and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.

It all happens in the Fiction Beer Company taproom at 7101 E. Colfax, from 6 PM to 7 PM. It's an hour-long window, so you can swing by, get your recommendations, grab a book, and still have the rest of your evening open. If you've been meaning to refresh your reading list for the fall, this is a good way to do it.
