Death metal band Exhumed perform live at HQ in Denver, with support from Savage Master, Jarhead Fertilizer and Molder.
Exhumed are playing HQ in Denver on Wednesday, December 2, with Savage Master, Jarhead Fertilizer and Molder opening. It's a full bill of death metal, so you'll be in for a long night of it.
Exhumed come from San Jose, and they've been at this since 1991, when founder and sole remaining member Matt Harvey was just 15. After a run of lineups, demos and splits, they put out their debut album Gore Metal in 1998, which set their sound: a blend of old-school death metal, grindcore and thrash. Slaughtercult followed in 2001, then Anatomy is Destiny in 2003, and the 2011 comeback album All Guts, No Glory. In 2013 they released Necrocracy and re-recorded their debut as Gore Metal: A Necrospective.
Their sixth full-length, Death Revenge, came in 2017 and was their first concept album. It's a thirteen-part musical melodrama set in late-1820s Edinburgh, centered on a grisly trade in grave-robbery, and they recorded it with producer Jarrett Pritchard. Between that and the earlier records, they've built a catalog that stretches from the early 90s to the present.
