Grammy-winning trumpeter and vocalist Eric Benny Bloom, of the band Lettuce, pays tribute to Michael Jackson at Dazzle.
Eric Benny Bloom brings a tribute to Michael Jackson to Dazzle on Saturday, October 17, at 9 PM. Bloom is a Grammy award-winning trumpeter and vocalist, and he's also a member of the band Lettuce. He's one of Colorado's most diverse musicians, known for entertaining and charismatic performances.
He built this show around one of his biggest influences, Michael Jackson, and he's digging deep into MJ's catalog. The set covers material from the Jackson 5 days right through to unreleased Thriller and Bad records, so you'll hear the early Motown sound alongside the later pop hits and some of the vault material that didn't make the albums.
Bloom isn't doing this solo. He's leading a full band for the night: Dominic Lalli on sax, Solomon Chapman on piano, Adam 'Shmeeans' Smirnoff on guitar, Hunter Roberts on bass, and Matt Campbell on drums. With a horn section and a full rhythm section behind him, it's a big enough group to handle the arrangements from across Jackson's career.
