A special evening event featuring live music from the Colorado Symphony within the context of the DIVA exhibition.
DIVA After Dark comes to the Denver Art Museum on Tuesday, November 10, with live music from a Colorado Symphony quartet. It's an after-hours session set inside the museum's DIVA exhibition, which runs from October 4, 2026, through January 31, 2027. Along with the music, there'll be a pop-up bar and photo opportunities.
DIVA is an exhibition organized by the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, and it's a big one. It brings together about 250 objects and costumes worn by nearly 100 iconic performers—from 19th and 20th-century names like Josephine Baker, Sarah Bernhardt and Maria Callas to modern powerhouses like Cher, Aretha Franklin, Lady Gaga, Dolly Parton, Prince, Rihanna and Taylor Swift. You'll see show-stopping costumes worn by legends, including one Rihanna wore to the Met Gala and pieces from Marilyn Monroe.
The Denver Art Museum adapted the show for an American audience, framing it not as a definition of what a diva is, but as an exploration of how costume and dress have been used across time for performers to demand visibility and ignite social change. There's also an interactive section that asks visitors which divas excite them.

The After Dark event puts the Colorado Symphony quartet in the middle of that, so you can walk through the costumes with live music playing. The exhibition itself stays open through the end of January, so if you can't make the Tuesday night, you've still got plenty of time to catch it on your own.
