NBA basketball match between the Denver Nuggets and the New Orleans Pelicans at Ball Arena.
The Denver Nuggets take on the New Orleans Pelicans at Ball Arena on Saturday, October 24. It's a regular-season matchup between two teams from opposite ends of the country, with the Nuggets playing on their home floor in Denver.
For anyone who follows the NBA, this is one of those games that puts two different styles of play on the same court. The Nuggets have built their game around the high-post play of Nikola Jokić, with the offense flowing through him as he finds open teammates. The Pelicans bring a more traditional frontcourt presence, anchored by Zion Williamson, who plays a physical, driving game. When these two meet, the game often comes down to how the Nuggets' perimeter defenders handle New Orleans' size and how the Pelicans try to contain Jokić's passing.
Since it's a home game for Denver, the atmosphere at Ball Arena will be a big part of the night. The crowd here tends to get loud when the Nuggets are on a run, and having that behind them makes a difference in a close game. It's a Saturday night, so it'll be a full house.
