A margarita tasting competition where attendees sample ten 3.5oz pours from Denver's top bars and restaurants, with a live DJ, street food vendors and a beer garden.
The Denver Margarita Festival takes over Number Thirty Eight on Saturday, October 10, from 10 AM to 5 PM. It's a margarita tasting competition where the crowd does the judging: bars and restaurants from across the city enter their house margarita, and you decide which one takes the title. The winning venue walks away with $1,000 and the bragging rights to call theirs the best in town.
Every ticket gets you a sampling card for ten 3.5oz margaritas, all made with Milagro Tequila, along with a voting chip to cast your ballot. You'll also get at least one raffle entry for a trip to Mexico. The tasting is the main event, but the day fills out around it with a live DJ, street food vendors, frozen drinks, and a beer garden. A portion of the proceeds goes to children's charities, so there's a bit more to it than just the drinks.

The whole thing is held at Number Thirty Eight, a 20,000-square-foot event hall in Five Points at 3560 Chestnut Place, Denver, CO 80216. It's a large space, so there's plenty of room to move between the tasting stations and the other setups. Just keep in mind that the day is strictly for over-21s, so bring your ID. It runs from 10 AM to 5 PM on Saturday, October 10.
