A professional indoor lacrosse match between the Colorado Mammoth and the Georgia Swarm at Ball Arena, marking the Mammoth's Loud House home opener.
Colorado Mammoth open their LOUD HOUSE home stand at Ball Arena on Friday, Jan. 1, when they take on the Georgia Swarm. It's the first home game of the season for the Mammoth, and the venue has a bit of a history with the team: Ball Arena backed two NLL Championship runs, one in 2006 and another in 2022.
There's some history between these two as well. Since the franchise started in 2016, Colorado is 10-6 against Georgia, with a 5-3 record at Ball Arena. Last season they split their two regular-season meetings: a 12-3 home loss in December and a 7-5 road win in January at Gas South Arena. So they're coming into this one pretty evenly matched.
Georgia is arriving off a 12-6 campaign, and they've got some momentum behind them. In the Quarterfinals, they knocked off the three-time defending NLL Champion Buffalo Bandits, led by forward Lyle Thompson. If you've been following the league, that's a big result to carry into a new season.
