Professional ice hockey match between the Colorado Avalanche and the New Jersey Devils at Ball Arena.
The Colorado Avalanche take on the New Jersey Devils at Ball Arena on Wednesday, October 28, 2026. It's a mid-week matchup that brings the Devils into Denver for a single game, so if you're following either team, this is the one to mark on your calendar. The puck drops at 7 PM.
For anyone who doesn't follow the league closely, the Avalanche are our home team, and Ball Arena is their home ice. The Devils are coming in from the East, which usually makes for a good contrast in styles on the ice. A Wednesday night game means you can catch it after work without having to clear your whole weekend, and since it's a single-game visit, it's a one-shot chance to see them play here this season.
If you're planning to go, keep in mind it's a weekday game. That means you'll want to account for the usual Denver rush hour traffic around the arena, especially if you're coming from across town. Getting there a bit early gives you time to settle in before the 7 PM start, and since it's a Wednesday, you'll still have your Thursday morning to recover from the excitement.

Tickets are available through the Ball Arena premium site, and since it's a mid-week game, it's a good time to grab your seats before the weekend rush. The game is on Wednesday, October 28, at 7 PM at Ball Arena.
