A community running event where members of the Citius RC running club gather for a long run with various pace groups, starting from rotating locations across Denver.
Citius RC is back with its Saturday long run on October 17, one of the many ways this Denver crew gets its miles in. The run is free, and the starting point rotates among coffee shops, marketplaces, and running stores across the city. The standard distance is around eight miles, but there's room to add on if you're feeling it or cut it short if you're not.
Citius Run Club has been logging miles together since 2017, and the whole thing is built on community and cheering each other on. The pace groups are intentionally diverse, so you'll find runners chasing PRs and qualifying goals running alongside people who are just out there for the fun of it. Groups typically range from 7 to 10 minutes per mile, and there's a walking group too, so you don't have to be at any particular level to join in.
Saturday isn't the only time they're out. The club also does Track Tuesday at 5:30 AM, rotating between the South High School and North High School tracks. Beyond the regular runs, members gather for road and trail races, the Olympic Trials, trips to local breweries, and outings in the mountains and around the city's parks. There are no dues or fees to join.

Because the starting location changes every week, you'll want to check their Strava page, Instagram (@citiusrc), or Slack group for the specific spot. The run starts at 7 AM in the summer and 8 AM the rest of the year, so on October 17, it's an 8 AM start. It's free to join.
