Holiday tour show in which Fran Lebowitz plays a reporter and Austin Terrell plays Grandpa Joe, with 360-degree projection mapping at the Perplexiplex.
Chilly Wonka plays Meow Wolf Denver on Sunday, December 6, as part of a community production. It's a holiday-season tour through the Land of the Sweets, following five lucky tourists as they unwrap the meaning of the journey inside the nerve center of the Wonka factory. Fran Lebowitz, performing as DeeDee Derriere, takes the role of the reporter, and Austin Terrell plays Grandpa Joe.
The show is staged at the Perplexiplex, Meow Wolf's 475-capacity concert and events venue inside Convergence Station. It features 360-degree projection mapping that responds to movement, and it runs on a separate ticketing track from the main exhibit galleries. Convergence Station itself is a high-sensory environment, with a second-floor cocktail lounge called Sips (spelled with a Z) that's exclusive to exhibit ticket holders and open only to guests 21 and up. The venue is wheelchair accessible, with elevators and T-coil hearing devices available on request.
