Chelsea Grin

Chelsea Grin are playing the Ogden Theatre on Tuesday, December 1, starting at 7 PM. They're a deathcore band from Salt Lake City, Utah, and this is a headlining date with them as the sole feature on the bill.

If you're not familiar with the name, they've been around since 2007. They first got noticed after uploading the tracks "Crewcabanger" and "Lifeless" to Myspace, and they signed with Artery Records from there. Their 2010 debut album, Desolation of Eden, hit No. 21 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart. Their second record, My Damnation, peaked at No. 6 on the Hard Rock chart, and their 2014 album Ashes to Ashes reached No. 4. Frontman Alex Koehler has been the voice of the band throughout, and they've toured extensively over the years, including multiple stints on the Vans Warped Tour. They signed with Rise Records in 2016.

Since they're the only act on the bill, the night is built around them. You'll hear the deathcore sound they've been known for since those early Myspace days, and with their history stretching back to 2007, there's a lot of ground they can pull from across their discography. It's a headlining show, so they'll be taking the full set.
