Medieval fantasy doom metal band Castle Rat performs live at the Ogden Theatre, with a VIP experience including a sound check and meet and greet.
Castle Rat bring their Summon The Beasts Tour to Ogden Theatre on Monday, October 12, with the show starting at 7:30 PM. They're a medieval fantasy doom metal band, and they lean hard into the storytelling side of that description. The whole thing is built around a specific world they've constructed: the Rat Queen rules 'The Realm' alongside The Count, The Plague Doctor, and The Druid, and they're locked in a perpetual struggle with their arch-nemesis, Death Herself, who goes by The Rat Reaperess.
If you're into the lore, there's a VIP experience attached to the tour that lets you see how they work. It starts with a live two-song sound check with the group in their everyday clothes, followed by a meet and greet with signing, an exclusive VIP gift, and a photo opportunity with The Rat Reaperess. You also get early access to the merch booth, so you can grab what you want before the main crowd hits. It's a good way to see the band without the costumes and the stage personas before the actual show kicks in.

On the night, the band takes the stage as the characters from their story, and the set follows that same medieval fantasy doom metal sound. The Denver date is for ages 16 and over, and it starts at 7:30 PM at Ogden Theatre.
