Concert performing the music of King Crimson at Bellco Theatre, featuring Adrian Belew, Steve Vai, Tony Levin and Terry Bozzio.
BEAT is playing Bellco Theatre on Friday, October 16, as part of their final North American tour. The group brings together former King Crimson members Adrian Belew and Tony Levin with guitar virtuoso Steve Vai and drummer Terry Bozzio. They've already played more than 100 shows across North and South America, Europe, and Japan, so this is one of the last chances to catch them on this run.
The set focuses on three King Crimson albums from the 1980s: Discipline, Beat, and Three of a Perfect Pair. Rather than recreating the original recordings, the band describes their approach as bringing the music to life with the spirit, precision, and adventurousness that made it endure. It's a specific era of the band's catalog—the interlocking guitars and tight rhythms of the eighties—rather than a career-spanning retrospective.
Looking at the lineup, you've got two people who were actually in the band during those years. Adrian Belew and Tony Levin were part of the King Crimson lineup that recorded those three albums, so they're playing material they helped create. Steve Vai and Terry Bozzio round out the quartet. The Denver date is billed as all ages, so it's a show you can bring kids to if you're into this kind of music.

On the night, the box office opens at 5:30 PM, doors open at 6:30 PM, and the show is expected to start around 8:00 PM. That gives you plenty of time to get in and settle before things kick off.
