A night of soulful jazz featuring Adam Gang, Vlad Girshevich, Daryl Gott and Braxton Kahn at the musician-owned venue Herbs Jazz and Blues.
B3 Jazz Jam is back at Herbs Jazz and Blues on Tuesday, October 13, starting at 9:30 PM. It's a jam session, so the night is built around musicians coming together to play rather than a setlist of rehearsed songs. The lineup for this one is Adam Gang, Vlad Girshevich, Daryl Gott, and Braxton Kahn.
If you're not familiar with the spot, Herbs Jazz and Blues is a musician-owned and run venue right in the heart of Denver's LoDo scene. It's known for live music, some of the hippest cocktails around, and for showcasing some of the hottest bands and most incredible untapped talent the city has to offer. Local artists come together under the venue's inviting roof for a session the organizers say leaves audiences with memories that echo long after the final note.
Because it's a jam, the music is more about the conversation between the players than a fixed program. Gang, Girshevich, Gott, and Kahn are the core of the night, and the B3 Jazz Jam is described as a night of soulful jazz. The B3 in the title refers to the Hammond B3 organ, the soulful, warm sound that anchors this kind of session. It's the sort of thing that works best when you're there in person, watching the musicians listen to each other and build the set as they go.

It's a late start, so it's a good one for a Tuesday night when you're not rushing off to work the next morning. The jam kicks off at 9:30 PM at Herbs Jazz and Blues, 2057 Larimer Street in LoDo.
