A music event featuring DJ and producer AHEE (Chris Adams) performing bass music and New Bounce at the Mission Ballroom in Denver.
AHEE plays Mission Ballroom on Saturday, December 19, with the set starting at 8 PM. The name on the bill is AHEE, but the person behind it is Chris Adams, a DJ and producer who works across a few different genres. He describes his sound as exploring the highest forms of energy in bass music, and that's a fair summary of what he's been putting out.
Adams' interest in festival culture took hold after college, following time at gatherings like Lightning In A Bottle and Coachella. From there, he stepped into headlining as the DJ and producer of The Lucent Dossier Experience, while releasing high-energy New Bounce and Breaks under the AHEE name. If those terms don't ring a bell, they're the faster, heavier side of the bass scene—the kind of music that works best on a big system.
His records have a track record of doing well on the charts. In March 2016, the bass-driven The Eclipse EP came out on Solstice Records. A month later, his New Bounce remix of iLL.Gates & KJ Sawka's "Unsung Heroes" won the Unsung Heroes remix contest and climbed to number two on the Beatport Breaks Top 10. In October 2016, Next Level EP on KJ Sawka's Impossible Records hit number one on the Beatport Breaks chart and held the spot for three weeks.
