Concert by the dream pop and power pop band Wishy, with opening act Touch Girl Apple Blossom, at Club DaDa.
Wishy play Club DaDa on Wednesday, December 16, with Touch Girl Apple Blossom opening. The show starts at 8 PM, and tickets go for $24.
Wishy are an Indianapolis band that first made noise with their 2023 EP Paradise. They followed it up in the summer of 2024 with their debut full-length, Triple Seven, on Winspear. That record caught a lot of attention from the bigger outlets—Pitchfork, The Observer, Stereogum, NME, Paste, DIY, Dork, and The New York Times all weighed in on it, and it's still one of the more critically praised debuts from the last few years.
They didn't slow down in 2025, either. They put out the Planet Popstar EP, played on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and took the stage at Kilby Block Party and Riot Fest. Their sound sits at the crossroads of dream pop, power pop, alternative rock, and shoegaze—so you'll hear the melodic, hooky side of power pop running alongside the washier, atmospheric textures of dream pop and shoegaze. It's a sound that can lean into a big, loud guitar moment just as easily as it can settle into something more hazy and melodic.
