Shakespeare Dallas presents its production of Titus Andronicus, reimagined as 'Club Titus', at the Samuell-Grand Amphitheater.
Shakespeare Dallas is bringing Titus Andronicus to the Samuell-Grand Amphitheater as part of its 54th annual Shakespeare in the Park festival. The production runs Thursday through Sunday from September 16 to October 18, with gates opening at 7:30 PM and performances starting at 8:00 PM. It's an outdoor show, so you'll be watching it under the stars.
Director Dr. Danielle Georgiou has reimagined the tragedy as 'Club Titus,' a glamorous, decadent nightclub in a state of decay. The cast is led by Adrian Godinez as Titus, with Nicole Berastequi as Tamora, Shawn Gann as Aaron, Omar Padilla as Saturninus, Caitlin Chapa as Marcus, Brandon Whitlock as Chiron, Tommy Stuart as Demetrius, Lily Gast as Lavinia, and Jon Garrard as Lucius. Rounding out the company are Dylan Weand, David Helms, Bethany Mejorado, Cameron Casey, Matty Rafanelli, and Ali Macaulay.
It's a casual night out—picnicking is encouraged, and beer and wine are allowed. The production is part of the 54th annual Shakespeare in the Park festival by Shakespeare Dallas, a company that's been entertaining North Texas for more than 50 years and draws over 25,000 attendees each season.
