Texas five-piece rock-influenced country band The Wilder Blue perform live with support from Chaparelle at the Longhorn Ballroom.
The Wilder Blue play the Longhorn Ballroom on Friday, December 18, with Chaparelle opening. It's a Texas five-piece doing rock-influenced country, with frontman Zane Williams' storytelling voice at the center, Paul Eason on lead guitar, Lyndon Hughes on drums, Sean Rodriguez on bass, and Andy Rogers on multiple instruments. The band goes back to 2019, when Williams and Eason started looking for collaborators to build a vocal blend they could actually replicate live, and they've become known for five-part harmonies.
Their self-titled sophomore album, The Wilder Blue, was recorded over several three-day sessions straight to tape. The single "Feelin' the Miles" leans into 1980s vibes, while "Build Your Wings" was written and sung by Eason, taking its title from a line his uncle gave him after he went through a divorce. Both are on the record, so you'll likely hear them that night.
