An intro-friendly line dance social with free lessons, live singing, and a saloon atmosphere.
The Round-Up Saloon comes to Sammons Park on Thursday, October 29, at 5:30 PM. It's a line dance social run by the AT&T Performing Arts Center, and the whole thing is built around free line dance lessons, live singing, and local jams. If you've never line danced before, that's exactly who this is for: it's intro-friendly, so you can show up without knowing a single step and still get moving.
The lessons are the starting point, and the live singing and local jams keep the energy going from there. It's not a formal class where you just watch a teacher and repeat; it's a social, and the dancing is just as much about the people as it is about the steps. Costumes are welcome, too, so if you've got a western shirt or a pair of boots you've been waiting for an excuse to wear, this is a good time to bring them out.
