An improvised comedy show where the audience's ideas are fed into a completely improvised action movie and its hilarious direct-to-DVD sequel.
The Improvised Action Movie is coming to the Dallas Comedy Club on Thursday, October 15. It's an improv show that works like a double feature: the performers build a complete action movie from scratch on the fly, and then they follow it up with a direct-to-DVD sequel, both made up as they go. The whole thing is an immersive experience, and the audience provides the ideas that the cast feeds into the story in real time.
That's the core of it—the room's suggestions become the plot, the characters, and the action beats. Because it's improvised, no two shows ever turn out the same way, and you get to see the story take shape right in front of you. The cast is made up of some of the best improvisers in Texas, so the heavy lifting of keeping the plot moving and the jokes landing is in good hands.
