Roast Battle League brings its trash-talking comedy league to Dallas, hosted by Mike Eaton and judged by Jay Light, in a strictly 21+ venue.
Roast Battle League is bringing its trash-talking comedy league to Dallas Comedy Club on Friday, October 16, and it's not just a one-off. The league bills itself as the biggest trash-talking league in the world, pitting the best writers, sharpest tongues, and quickest wits against one another as the art of the roast is celebrated and perfected. The Dallas chapter is hosted by Mike Eaton, and the judging panel is led by Jay Light, whose credits include Comedy Central, HBO, and America's Got Talent.
If you've never seen a roast battle, the format is pretty straightforward: two comics go head-to-head, trading insults until one of them is declared the winner. It's less about a polished stand-up set and more about who can land the hardest hit on the fly. The league's whole thing is that competitive edge, so it's a bit more like a sporting event than a typical comedy show. The judging panel, headed by Light, decides who takes the round.
