An hour of improvised comedy inspired by audience suggestions, with audience members able to join the show.
Primetime Saturday Night Improv is at the Dallas Comedy Club on Saturday, October 10, for a fast, interactive hour of improvised comedy built on audience suggestions. The whole thing is made up on the spot: the actors play games prompted by the host and the crowd, and the room can even get onstage and take part. It's billed as having been seen on shows like Whose Line Is It Anyway?.
Seven performers make up the lineup: Steve Evans, Jack Ritchey, Katie Ritter, Lauren Oxford, Lucia Hardaway, Pablo Mares, and Sarah Kaiser. Because it's all improv, the set changes every night based on what the audience throws at them, so no two shows are the same. If you've never seen a show like this, the basic idea is that the performers don't have a script; they take a word, a place, or a situation from the crowd and build a scene around it right in front of you. The games keep things moving, and the chance to jump in yourself is part of the draw.
