Outdoor screening of the 1982 horror film Poltergeist as part of the Downtown Dallas October Movie Nights series.
October Movie Nights are running at Main Street Garden Park throughout October, with screenings every Friday night. Downtown Dallas, Inc. is putting on the series as a Halloween countdown that spans four decades of spooky cinema, moving from an early '80s haunted house to a modern nightmare. The run covers five Friday nights, with a double feature on the 23rd.
The lineup starts on October 2 with The Witches (1990), followed by Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1992) on October 9. On October 16, it's Poltergeist (1982). The 23rd is the double feature: Addams Family Values (1993) at 6:45 PM and The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975) at 8:30 PM. The series wraps up on October 30 with It (2017), which follows a group of bullied children in Maine who confront their deepest fears when a shape-shifting monster disguised as a clown named Pennywise begins preying on the town's youth.
