Stand-up graduation show where students of Mike Lukas' eight-week course present the sets they wrote and polished during the course.
Mike Lukas' Level 2 Stand-Up Grad Show is at the Dallas Comedy Club on Sunday, October 18. It's part of the club's stand-up grad show series, and the lineup is made up of students from Mike Lukas' eight-week stand-up course. These are budding comics, not seasoned pros, and the sets they'll be performing are the ones they wrote and polished over the course of that class.
That's the whole point of a grad show: it's a room full of people who've spent two months working on their material and are now stepping up to a real stage to see how it lands. Since they're all coming from the same class, you'll get a good sense of where they started and how much they've refined their sets along the way. It's a first look at a new group of comics finding their footing in the Dallas scene.
