Gala with reception, dinner, presentation, auction and raffle, emceed by Teresa Woodard with Trace Bundy.
LEAP Global Missions is celebrating its 35th anniversary with a gala, A Legacy of Healing, on Thursday, October 8, at the Dallas Country Club (4125 Mockingbird Ln). The organization was founded 35 years ago by Dr. Craig Hobar and provides free specialized medical and surgical services around the world, inspired by the love of Christ. According to LEAP, its volunteers have performed more than 11,000 surgeries and procedures on patients—mostly children—from 24 countries, all at no cost to the patients and their families.
The evening opens with a reception of cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, followed by a three-course seated dinner. The program includes a presentation, an auction, and a raffle, along with news of past and ongoing missions and updates on future plans. WFAA weekend anchor and senior reporter Teresa Woodard will emcee the night, and the featured performer is Trace Bundy, known as 'The Acoustic Ninja,' coming in from Denver, Colorado.
