A live late-night comedy show hosted by Kate Greathouse, featuring improv and surprise guests as part of the Dallas Comedy Club's improv series.
Kate Greathouse hosts Late! With Kate: Super-Spooky Edition at the Dallas Comedy Club on Thursday, October 8. It's part of the club's improv series, and this particular night is the spooky-themed version of the show.
If you've never seen Late! With Kate, the premise is pretty straightforward: it's a live late-night comedy experience that takes the things people like about late-night television and stages them in a room, without the eye strain. The format leans on outrageous interviews, surprise guests, prizes, and the kind of comedy that explains why the FCC hasn't returned the show's calls. It positions itself as a world apart from the late-night establishment, with the line "This ain't Letterman. This is Late! With Kate!" as its calling card.
Greathouse hosts the whole thing, and as part of the Dallas Comedy Club's improv series, the night is built around the energy of the room rather than a scripted set. The Super-Spooky Edition puts a seasonal spin on that, so expect the interviews and guests to lean into the October theme.
