Jaime French

Jaime French is playing Hyena's Comedy Nightclub on Saturday, October 10, at 7 PM. If you've come across her online, you probably know her as a YouTuber first, but this is a stand-up set, so you'll be seeing her live on stage rather than through a screen.

French built her following on YouTube, and the way she's grown since then is a good part of her story. She started with makeup tutorials, then moved into comedic sketches, and has spent the years since evolving her content while keeping that same relatable, authentic presence. It's a bit of a pivot from beauty tips to punchlines, and it shows a real determination to follow her passion and connect with people on her own terms. That's the version of her that'll be on stage: a comedian who's spent years figuring out how to talk to an audience.

She's performing at Hyena's Comedy Nightclub, which has been doing stand-up for over 30 years across its Fort Worth, Dallas, and Albuquerque locations. It's a regular on the national circuit, with names like Jim Jefferies, Ralph Barbosa, Tom Segura, and Marlon Wayans having played there. The Dallas room on Mockingbird Lane is billed as the area's home for stand-up, so it's a familiar spot for anyone who follows the local comedy scene.

The show is on Saturday, October 10, starting at 7 PM at 5321 E Mockingbird Ln, Dallas, TX 75206. Tickets are $44.05.
