A regular dance night featuring live honky-tonk music from Raised Right Men and dance instruction from Jerry and Kat Warwick at Poor David's Pub.
Raised Right Men take the stage at Poor David's Pub on Tuesday, October 20, as part of the venue's Honky Tonk Tuesdays. It's a North Texas honky-tonk band that sticks to the classics—country favorites and dancehall staples played with high energy and authenticity, fronted by seasoned local musicians. If you're looking for a night of straightforward country dancing, this is exactly that.
The music doesn't start the moment you walk in. Before the band takes over, Jerry and Kat Warwick will be on the floor teaching two-step. They've been laughing, dancing, and teaching together for more than two decades, and they've been part of the Dallas dance scene since 2001. They teach country, swing, blues, and ballroom, so if you've never tried two-stepping before, this is a good time to pick it up before the live music kicks in.
