Deathcore quartet Heavy//Hitter performs live at the TX Tea Room in Dallas, with support from Distant and Torn Open.
Heavy//Hitter are playing the TX Tea Room on Monday, November 16, with Distant and Torn Open filling out the bill. It's a deathcore night in the heart of Dallas, and the headliners are coming in from Orlando, Florida.
Heavy//Hitter is a quartet fronted by vocalist Austin Hayes, with Dane Loeprich on guitar, Chris Perez on bass, and Josh Archeval on drums. They describe their sound as turning chaos into caustic, controlled, and catchy deathcore, and they play their shows face-to-face, infusing the set with blood, sweat, and tears. Their style sits at the crossroads of metalcore, hardcore punk, hardcore beatdown, metal, and deathcore—so if you're into the heavier side of the scene, this is right in that wheelhouse.
The band signed to their label in September 2024 and has since put out tracks like "Coming To Terms," "No Mercy, No Remorse," and "Waste Of Life," which should give you a good sense of where they're at before they hit the stage. Distant and Torn Open open the night, so the whole evening stays in the same heavy territory.
