Stand-up comedy show by mother-daughter duo Darcy and Madison Christ exploring inherited experience and personal history.
Darcy Christ and Madison Christ bring their show Generational Trauma to the Dallas Comedy Club on Saturday, October 17. They're a mother-daughter duo, and that's the whole point of the thingโthe two of them on stage together, working through the kind of stories that only come up when you're talking to your own parents.
They describe the show as a celebration of survival, self-awareness, and the shared absurdity of being human, built around the messy, all-too-relatable stories passed down through families. It's an exploration of inherited experience and personal history, blending narrative and character work for an intimate, thought-provoking evening. The title Generational Trauma points right to that: the things we pick up from the people who raised us, and the way we deal with them once we've had a chance to look back.
The show runs in the Club Theater, which is one of the smaller rooms at the club, designed for close-up performances. It's a good fit for this kind of thingโa mother and daughter talking through family history works better when you're close enough to see the expressions on their faces. The show is for ages 18 and up.
