A concert by Fabio Frizzi, a tribute to the cinema of Lucio Fulci, performed at The Texas Theatre.
Fabio Frizzi brings his FRIZZI2FULCI show to The Texas Theatre on Thursday, October 29, 2026. He'll be performing with the F2F Band and special guest Ethan Lee McCarthy.
FRIZZI2FULCI is Frizzi's tribute to the cinema of Lucio Fulci, a project he launched in 2013. Between 1975 and 1990, Frizzi wrote the scores for many of Fulci's horror films, including The Beyond, City of the Living Dead, Zombi 2, and The Seven Notes in Black—the main theme of which Quentin Tarantino later used in Kill Bill: Vol. 1. The collaboration is often compared to Morricone's with Sergio Leone or Goblin's with Dario Argento. Frizzi's style draws on the Baroque era and on masters like Nino Rota, Carlo Rustichelli, and Ennio Morricone, and his career spans more than a hundred film and television scores.
The project had its world premiere on Halloween night 2013 at London's Union Chapel, which sold out, and he's toured it worldwide since, including ten US tours. Along the way, he added two Cineconcerts, the Composer's Cut, in which he rewrote the soundtracks of The Beyond and Zombi 2 to perform them live during screenings. Frizzi himself is a Bolognese composer adopted by Rome.
